How to test editing existing listings

This page will walk you through how to test editing listings.

Editing a listing

To edit a listing you first need to navigate to the "Manage" page and click any of the listings inside the listing table.

If no listings are showing you may need to adjust the filters you have applied using the filter button.

After you have clicked on a listing, the edit listing pop up will now open and allow you to edit all of the fields.

You now need to edit all of the fields with new information and other options. Alternatively you can use the random product data generator button located in the bottom left. The random product data generator button will re-populate all of the fields in the edit listing pop up with random data.

A few seconds after clicking this button, it will automatically input new information for all the fields and select other option than the ones already selected.

Saving the changes

Once all of the fields have been edited and new options have been selected you can scroll down to the bottom of the pop up and click "Save".

To help with this process we recommend opening the "Edit Listing" pop-up in two tabs. One tab will be used to keep a record of the old listing details, and the other tab will be used to actually edit the listing and save the changes. After the changes have been saved we can use the first tab with the old listing details to verify that all the details have been updated correctly.

After you have edited a listing you must navigate to the platform/s where the product was listed and verify that all the information you have edited has been updated on the respective platform also.

Testing all platforms and fields

Editing listings on all platforms needs to be tested. Each platform needs to be tested individually. Also each field and option needs to be tested and verified individually to make sure they are being correctly edited.
